PAUL SLAUGHTER, is a internationally recognized, published photographer, who specializes in location assignments and fine art photography. Slaughter has extensive experience in advertising, photojournalism, and special photography for film, television and theater. In 1984 he was the Official Photographer for the Los Angeles Olympic Committee. Assignments have taken him to over seventy-five countries. He resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico and has taught at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshops. Paul has an extensive photographic collection of jazz legends that he has created since 1969.

Exhibitions
In Santa Fe Paul has exhibited at The Institute of American Indian Arts Museum, the Monroe Gallery, Lewallen Contemporary Gallery, and currently at Verve Fine Arts. His photographs are in the collections of George Eastman House, the Prudential Insurance Company, the Los Angeles Public Library, the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County, and private collectors. The Art Directors Club of New York City exhibited his award-winning work in their 64th Annual Exhibition which toured the United States, Europe and Japan. His photographs of China were exhibited at the World Trade Center Club in Hong Kong. The City of Los Angeles presented an exhibition of his 1984 Olympic photographs.

Awards and Writing
In 2000 Paul was nominated for an "Eisie" award for photography of the Santa Fe Art Institute, architecture by Ricardo Legoretta. He was given a "Gold Award" by the Art Directors Club in their 65th Annual awards for his photographs featured in the Final Report of the XXIII Olympiad. Eastman Kodak presented Paul their prestigious "Steuben Glass Award” for his photography displayed at the Professional Photographers' Showcase at Epcot Center in Disney World. He has wtiiten articles on travel and photography for Rangefinder, Popular Photography, and Photographic Magazines, as well as the Los Angeles Times.
